Once you have added a badge to the site or course, a notification is sent to users who have earnt that badge. These notifications can be customised to do this complete the steps below:

  • Site/Course Administration > Badges > Manage Badges > Message tab
  • Here you can change the default message subject and message body
  • Tick Attach badge to message and this will attach the badge to the learners email for download
  • Notify badge creator, by selecting this you can manage how often the badge creator gets notified when a new badge has been issued. (don't worry you can turn this to never)
  • Once you are happy with your settings click Save
